The play about the bees The Cape Cod Theatre Project of Falmouth will kick off its 2021 season on Monday with StageTalk, a free live-streamed discussion about the development process of Selina Fillinger’s play, "The Collapse," and more about bees’ connection with humans, one of the play’s themes. Provincetown entomologist Noah Wilson-Rich will chat with Hal Brooks, CCTP artistic director, as well as Fillinger and director Margot Bordelon. They'll talk about the play — which streams at 7 p.m. Thursday and July 3 — but also about how, as Wilson-Rich puts it in a press release, the play is "sparking thoughtful discussions about how our human lives are interconnected with the natural world — right here on the Cape and beyond." Your stories live here. Fuel your hometown passion and plug into the stories that define it. Create AccountThe play's plot follows a woman named Alice "who is thrilled about her new role as a research assistant for a legendary entomologist specializing in bees, but she soon realizes that the apiarian colonies are not the only thing on the verge of collapse."
